THE RITZ-CARLTON CHICAGO (A Four Seasons Hotel) HITS AWARDS TRIFECTA
Luxury Hotel Is Named “Best Hotel In Chicago & 4th Best Hotel In The
Americas In 2008” by Institutional Investor, Receives 2008 Mobil Travel
Guide Five-Star Award & 2008 AAA Five Diamond Award
Chicago, IL – March 6, 2008 - The Ritz-Carlton Chicago (A Four Seasons
Hotel) has recently added three additional honors to its prestigious portfolio.
The luxury hotel has been named “Best Hotel In Chicago & 4th Best Hotel In The Americas in 2008” by Institutional Investor and has received the highly-coveted 2008 Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star Award and 2008 AAA Five Diamond Award.
“We are thrilled by these honors,” says Christian Clerc, Regional
Vice-President and General Manager of the 435-room Ritz-Carlton Chicago.
“Our staff thrives on offering our guests genuine, personalized service blended with warm Midwestern hospitality.”
Institutional Investor’s Annual “World’s Best Hotels” Survey is voted on by frequent travelers from the financial industry’s top management in 34 countries throughout North & South America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
The 2008 Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star Awards were recently presented to just 32 lodging establishments in North America. More than 15,400 hotels, resorts, inns and restaurants around the country were rated. Mobil Travel
Guide Five-Star Award winners are selected for their consistently
superlative service and expanded amenities which make them the best hotels and resorts in the country
The 2008 AAA Five Diamond Awards were bestowed upon 150 hotels by 65 AAA inspectors who anonymously visited tens of thousands of hotels in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, to test service levels, amenities and ambience.
In addition to these honors, The Ritz-Carlton Chicago was also named “Best Hotel In The United States” by Condé Nast Traveler magazine for a record seventh time - - more than any other hotel in the country.
Innovations that The Ritz-Carlton Chicago has presented to leisure and corporate travelers in recent years include:
Tenured Staff
Over 20% percent of the hotel’s staff has worked at the hotel for over 20 years, including 32-year veterans, Jon Winke (chef concierge), George Anderson (banquet manager) and Richard Warren (banquet chef).
Personal Service
These long-term employees offer incredibly personal service because they know the guests so well. A New York-based businessman - and frequent Ritz-Carlton Chicago guest - calls on chef concierge Jon Winke to make his dinner reservations back in Manhattan if he can’t secure one himself.
Innovative Programs & Amenities
Ritz-Carlton Chicago guests can select from over 150 complimentary travel items from the hotel’s “I Need It Now” Program; call upon the assistance of a “Compcierge” who is available on a moment’s notice for computer-related questions; and select to stay in an “Allergy-Sensitive” guestroom.
